2023

Meta Study Webinar

  • A webinar was held on February 7th, 2023 to provide an overview of the policy (NOT-NS-23-046) which requires all NINDS-funded TBI human subjects research data to submit to the Federal Interagency Traumatic Brain Injury Research (FITBIR) Informatics System. In addition, this webinar addressed how the TBI research community can utilize FITBIR’s Meta Study Module to fulfill Data Management and Sharing requirements.
  • NIH panelists for this webinar included:

  • NINDS-funded TBI research data involving human subjects research that is not covered by the NOT-NS-17-029 will now be required to house data in the Meta Study Module within FITBIR. This webinar covered policy updates (NOT-NS-23-046), steps to submit data to the Meta Study module, and included a Q&A session at the end.

FITBIR Operations Representatives will be attending the following upcoming conferences:

  • 3rd Federal Interagency Traumatic Brain Injury Research (FITBIR) Stakeholders Meeting July 19th, 2021
    • This meeting will provide an update on the status and capabilities of FITBIR, and will gather input on how to enhance FITBIR to meet the needs and expectations of the TBI research community. For more information, click here.
    • This meeting will be held virtually and you can register here. For those unable to attend on the day of the meeting, the meeting will be archived and available for viewing on NIH Videocast site.

Congratulations to FITBIR Operations Member, Kate Burdekin, M.P.H., who presented at the American Public Health Association Annual Summit in Denver, October 2016. Her symposium focused on the BRICS system and communicated the impact of FITBIR and its related projects to the public health community.
